The OnSite SMART Adult replacement electrode pads are single-use adult electrodes in a package with the Philips Pull Handle built in. They have an expiration date on the pad package 2 years from the date of manufacture. These pads must be replaced after use during a sudden cardiac arrest or by the date on the pad package (stamped in the white box under the diagram showing how to place the pads during use).

The OnSite infant/child pads should also be available to be fully rescue-ready for all SCA events. These child-specific pads direct the AED to reduce the energy and deliver 50 joules rather than the 150 joules that the adult pads are programmed for.
