The Life Guidance CPR feature guides even the first-time rescuer through performing effective CPR by simply pressing the blue i-button. Once the pads are in place on the patient’s chest, the Philips HeartStart FRx directs you to push the orange button if the patient requires a shock. If it is loud or chaotic, the commands are repeated to maximize reliability.

The Integrated SMART Biphasic technology (sensors embedded in the SMART PADS II) allows the FRx to respond to the specific patient’s needs, including determining if there is a shockable rhythm, adjusting to the right current for the heart in a specific situation, or assessing that no shock is required even after the button is pushed.
