With step-by-step voice coaching, this AED is designed to be ready for use in any environment. By inserting a specific key, the CPR instructions from the Philips HeartStart FRx can be geared toward infants and children.

The Life Guidance CPR feature guides even the first-time rescuer through performing effective CPR by simply pressing the blue i-button. Once the pads are in place on the patient’s chest, the Philips HeartStart FRx directs you to push the orange button if the patient requires a shock. If it is loud or chaotic, the commands are repeated to maximize reliability.

The Integrated SMART Biphasic technology (sensors embedded in the SMART PADS II) allows the FRx to respond to the specific patient’s needs, including determining if there is a shockable rhythm, adjusting to the right current for the heart in a specific situation, or assessing that no shock is required even after the button is pushed. Heart health is paramount with this specialized technology.

Rugged and reliable with unique features, the FRx is also compatible with more sophisticated AEDs and HeartStart adaptors. This allows the pads to be quickly plugged into a more robust defibrillator if needed, ensuring that the patient continues to receive seamless care in any situation.

Self-tests are run daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure that the AED is rescue-ready at all times.
